A painter might simply mine a given vantage point
grateful to be making art and grateful for being alive
Paintings are fixed without hindrance on their bearings
outside of the verbal mysterious enacted exactly
They are Compositions Choreography
carried by the visual history of their physical making
The issue for the artist is to work
The possibility of someone else's involvement
and response to that work remains in time
